COVID 19 Update

September 17, 2021

To our Livingston Community,

Thank you for your patience as we review and work through the new Alberta Covid-19 restrictions. As you may be aware, on the evening of September 15, 2021, the Alberta Government and Alberta Health Services announced a new optional ‘Restrictions Exemption Program’ (REP) in which participating businesses can continue to operate as usual with minimal restrictions. For more information on these restrictions, please follow: https://www.alberta.ca/covid-19-public-health-actions.aspx

After extensive discussion between Senior Management and our Board of Directors, the Livingston Homeowners Association has decided to actively participate in this program. The health and safety of all our residents, employees and community has always been, and will continue to be, a top priority.

Effective Monday, September 20, 2021, anyone over the age of twelve (12+) will be required to show ONE of the following: proof of vaccination, a privately-paid negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) or rapid test no more than 72 hours before, or provide a medical exemption letter in order to access indoor programs, events and amenities. All residents, regardless of vaccination, will continue to have access to outdoor programs, events and amenities. Please see detailed chart below for further information.

This pandemic has been extremely challenging for not-for-profit recreation businesses, including the Livingston Homeowners Association, in addition to so many others. The Livingston Homeowners Association believes that participating in REP is a necessary step we need to take in order to support the overall health and safety of our residents and employees, to sustain regular business operations, and to continue to create the safest possible environment for our community.

As we transition into next steps we please ask that you are respectful towards all staff enforcing these new restrictions. Please remember, they are not the ones who have made these decisions, they are following the Alberta Government and Alberta Health Services recommendations. We kindly remind everyone that we are all humans trying our best to navigate this transition, with the health and safety of everyone at top of mind.

We appreciate your continued support and cooperation,

Board of Directors, Livingston Homeowners Association
